When visitors scan a Verde Valley Pioneers QR Marker at a gravesite, they are taken directly to a PDF biography about the person being remembered. To include your ancestor's biography in the Verde Valley Pioneers Archive, submit the completed biography as a PDF. We will publish and host it in the archive at no charge. After the biography is published, we will provide you with the direct link needed to create a Verde Valley Pioneers QR Marker.
The Verde Valley Pioneers QR Marker is a durable engraved metal marker designed for long-term outdoor use. Families may obtain one from the engraving business of their choice. If the gravesite is in the Verde Valley and you live elsewhere, our volunteers may be able to assist with obtaining and placing the marker.
After the Verde Valley Pioneers QR Marker has been placed at the gravesite, please send us a photograph so we can include it with the biography. If one of our volunteers installs the marker, we'll photograph it and send you a copy for your records.
The Verde Valley Pioneers QR Marker is a durable engraved metal marker measuring approximately 2.5" × 2.5". It includes adhesive strips on the back and links directly to the individual's biography PDF.

Obtaining a Verde Valley Pioneers QR Marker
There is no charge to submit or host a biography of a Verde Valley Pioneer or Settler in the Verde Valley Pioneers Archive. The Pioneer or Settler does not need to be buried in the Verde Valley.
Families are welcome to obtain a Verde Valley Pioneers QR Marker through the engraving business of their choice. If the gravesite is in the Verde Valley and you live elsewhere, our volunteers may be able to assist with obtaining and placing the marker.
